Lead Free (Pb Free) Solutions for a Cleaner Environment

California Micro Devices recognizes the increasing demand for environmentally friendly products, and is taking an active role in helping our customers make the transition to lead free solutions. In August 2003, California Micro Devices announced that it was the first to offer volume production for its complete line of mobile Chip Scale Packaging (CSP) products with lead free solder balls. In November 2003, California Micro Devices announced it would offer its popular electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering and power management products in lead free packaging options for computing and consumer products. Since then, a number of products have been made available with lead free finishing and are identified with the "GREEN" icon.

In addition, California Micro Devices has been certified as a Green Partner by Sony Corporation, recognizing that the company had successfully established a worldwide environmental management system meeting the standards of the Sony Green Partner Program.
