Area Sales Manager Location: United States
 

California Micro Devices is seeking a talented candidate who will be responsible to drive our sales effort in the assigned territory.

Job Description/Responsibilities

This position will be based at our CMD headquarter location in Milpitas, California. 10+ years of account sales and sales management experience in the US for active/passive semiconductor components required. Targeted revenue generation will be focused on diversified protection market segments, including accounts within the networking, telecom and industrial market segments. Direct management and active engagement of US Sales Rep and Distributor channels required. An entrepreneurial and self-starter personality key requirement for this position. Travel is required.

The position is responsible for driving our sales efforts in the assigned territory by motivating and supporting sales reps and distributors to increase the number of design-wins.

Responsibilities include :

  • Drive consultive sales/design-win process across US
  • Present CMD value proposition to customers
  • Revenue focus from CMD focused diversified protection market segments
  • Active engagement with US Sales Reps to increase focus on CMD protection product lines.

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
  • 10+ years experience in accounts sales and sales management focused within active/passive semiconductor sales in US market. Technical sales experience (FAE) experience a plus.



Corporate Controller Location: Milpitas
 

California Micro Devices is seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for all financial statement transactions and preparation, conformance to GAAP, external reporting and SEC compliance and development of staff.

Job Description/Responsibilities

External Reporting
  • Meet all SEC and external reporting compliance requirements
  • Manage audit process with external auditors
  • Ensure tax compliance
  • Prepare Audit Committee reports
  • Participate in the earnings release process
Internal Controls
  • Develop required documentation and controls to comply with Sarbanes Oxley Act
  • Ensure Oracle systems and processes meet internal control requirements
  • Establish monitoring systems to ensure continued compliance
Internal Reporting
  • Monthly preparation of financial statements
  • Manage monthly close process including timely communication of results to the Exec team
  • Manage general accounting and payroll activities
  • Assist in preparation of annual expense budget and monthly department expense forecast for operating departments
Other
  • Manage cash and treasury activities
  • Continuously improve finance processes and productivity
  • Systems implementation
  • Special projects as required

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA certification preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • 2-5 years in public accounting preferred
  • SEC reporting experience (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and annual report) required
  • 5+ years accounting managerial experience required; semiconductor industry preferred
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, external reporting and internal controls required
  • Oracle experience preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills required
  • Team player, strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills/system skills preferred

 

Process Engineer/Manager Location: Eastern China
 

California Micro Devices is seeking a talented candidate in the area of process engineering to work in Eastern China. This person will be responsible for a range of process engineering duties with our foundry partners.

Job Description/Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Identify new wafer foundries for existing and future products
  • Transfer of new process and products into production
  • Improve and sustain, monitor wafer fab foundry, PCM WS yields
  • Support CMD development activities related to foundry process support.

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • BS degree in physics, electrical engineering or material science
  • 8 plus years in semiconductor field working on advance CMOS technology
  • Knowledge of fab process equipment, simulation tools, semconductor devices physics and failure analysis
  • Must be proficient in English and Mandarin. The location of the position is in Jiangyin or Eastern China.

Product Marketing Manager, Mobile Products Location: Milpitas
 

California Micro Devices is seeking a talented candidate to fill this highly visible strategic and technical product marketing role for the mobile products division of California Micro Devices.

This individual will serve as product champion to the Top Five handset customers.

Through regular collaboration and interaction with Directors of Marketing and Engineering, this individual will regularly help create, establish, maintain, and execute new products roadmap, promote training to the sales organization, create concise presentations.

Through interaction with CMD’s design and process engineering group, this individual will help leverage CMD’s fabless model to take advantage of new process developments at our fab partners. CMD’s current product family consists of a comprehensive portfolio of silicon based application specific IPD's (Integrated Passive Devices) and Application Specific Integrated Passive (ASIP's) devices.

This individual will be responsible for driving strategic, technical marketing activities and product development, managing roadmap, business development, customer activities and technical field sales support.

Job Description/Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced person who would like to continue a career in product marketing. The ideal candidate will:

  • Drive product definition by gathering consistent and comprehensive customer requirements and feedback working closely with major phone manufacturers
  • Manage strategic roadmap
  • Build business plans for assigned products and be product level contact in the execution of such plans within the company, the field sales force, and customers
  • Drive the overall product life cycle from customer requirements to product development, product launch, customer support
  • Serve as a champion for business within the internal organization including directing as well as influencing the use of internal resources to meet business unit objectives
  • Develop marketing deliverables to support pre-sales activities, product launches and field sales training
  • Have the ability to independently and confidently communicate and present roadmap and business plans at major accounts
  • Track opportunity and new design win, product price quotations and product sampling
  • Perform market and competitive analysis
  • CMD’s major handset customers are located outside the bay area. International travel of up to 30%.

Education and Job Experience Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent technical degree
  • MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor strategic, technical or product marketing role is required
  • Prior experience in the mobile electronics market segment, very highly desired. Prior experience in industries such as wireless handsets, telecommunications, or wireless chipset manufacturers.
